Work can be a very spiritual thing. The monks had a saying: "laborum est..." uh, something. It means "to work is to pray." I guess we''ve all had that kind of job at least once. Working a "real job" is a good way to maintain a sense of structure, balance and connectedness with the "real world." In other words, it pays the bills. |

Sanders Manufacturing Sanders does specialty printing...pens, pencils, keychains, all manner of things. They also print those handheld stick fans, like they give away at funerals and ballgames. Funeral homes can have some very...uh...interesting advertising slogans. Let's just say if you've ever wondered who put the "fun" in funerals, just ask me. |

Grand Ole Opry I enjoyed helping people find their way to a good time at the Opry, as well as the other shows at the Opry House including Audio Adrenaline, Alison Krauss and Kelly Clarkson. *That's pronounced "ole" not "old," y'all. |

Edgehill Studios Cafe I helped get the word out around town about this neat little multipurpose cafe...part restaurant, part music venue, part art gallery, part internet hotspot, part print shop...and all very cool. I mean literally. Wear a sweater. Or buy something hot to drink. Here's a radio spot I wrote for
the cafe that was aired on WRLT:

WTS Media (formerly Wholesale Tape & Supply) At WTS I worked as a graphic artist, designing and printing labels and such for the many tape duplication projects entrusted to my employers, Wholesale Tape & Supply. Don't let the name fool you--WTS also does ALL manner of audio & video duplication, including CD projects...maybe even YOUR next recording.

| Precept Ministries One of the rare legit ministries on TV and radio. Starting as a part-timer and then working full-time, then part-time again (interrupted by a 2-year missions stint in Oregon) I did a lot of different things at Precept: operated camera, duplicated video and audio cassettes, recorded and edited the radio program, wrote radio spots, shipped products, led music for youth camp...just about everything but fix Kay's hair. Good thing for her sake it didn't come to that.
