Before the Fall

Humanity is fragile
Miracles and mercy rule our days
We go on building towers
When gravity could take it all away

The simple act of living
Can turn into a struggle to survive
And the pain that we can’t run from
Is the surest way to know we're still alive

CHORUS:
We can wrestle with our demons
And discover they were angels after all
And in the blessed morning
We'll be stronger than we were before the fall

I don't understand much
It's hard to say why life has put me here
But the joy along the journey
Is trusting faith and time to make it clear (CH)

When I’ve served my sentence
Freedom will be more than just a word
And the voice of my Creator
Will be the sweetest sound I've ever heard (CH)

And when we see that sunrise
We'll be stronger than we were before the fall
